Hi, I’m Joe and I’m passionate about improving metrics and optimizing stuff.

Prior to OpenCandy, I also worked at DivX like the rest of the founding team. I started at DivX as a lowly intern in the marketing organization while going to school nearby at UCSD. The internship eventually led to several job functions over nearly 4 years time. While at DivX, my main focus was around analytics and finding ways to increase our software distribution. I worked on things like testing the crap out of our website, ads, installer and shopping cart to see what moves the needle. I walked away feeling extremely fortunate for all the awesomely gratifying experiences that I simply can’t complain about as my first gig out of school. So now I’m here, somehow trusting my life to a bunch of DivX Alums starting a new company and it feels pretty awesome!
