Garrett, Jarret, Farret, Carrot, Parrot are all NOT my name. My name is Barrett.. with a “B”.. damnit! Common nicknames include Bear, Berry Jelly, Bartlet, Bartleby and Bart.

In 2009, I quit my job at a corporation of over 90,000+ employees and relocated from Seattle to San Diego to work at OpenCandy. Prior to my current position, I have worked as a Product Support Engineer, Search Marketing Coordinator, Graphic Designer, “Web Mechanic”, X-Ray Processor Technician, Tutor and Sandwich Artist..

My passions, aside from mining through data, include vintage Japanese cars, Craigslist, Adam Sandler movies, skateboarding, philosophy, cold cereal, Formula 1 racing and my dog “Maddy”. I haven’t yet learned to surf, but it’s on my to-do list right behind “Learn to swim”.
