Revitalizing the software community for everyone's benefit.

In February of 2008, six people in San Diego decided to change the software world for the better to benefit developers and users.

Anders Heie's Business CardHey Ya’ll.

My name is Anders, although people call me Pope. It’s a long story… please don’t ask.

I’m a Dane (Which makes me a Viking I prefer to think), and I have been here in San Diego since 1998. Wonderful place, great people, lots of fun.

I joined OpenCandy in 2009 to pitch in with the Software Architecture. It’s a passion of mine, so this was a great opportunity to help define a system capable of handling huge amounts of data, from the ground up. I’ve been around the block over the years, doing everything from assembler code to system architecture, requirement specifications to testing, websites and
SEO. I hope I can successfully apply my skills here, and with the amazing team we have here, I think OpenCandy can really make a difference for products and developers out there.

For fun, well, Beach Volley is #1 in my book!
For relaxation, I throw some Gotan Project on the Pod and chill…
I also have a sandwich blog, where I write about what I think are amazing sandwiches.
